Great Glow and Scent, But Fades Quickly and Runs Out Fast
Scent: Vanilla
The Saltair Shimmering Body Oil in Salt Water Vanilla is a beautiful product. The only 3 reasons I donā€™t give it 5 stars are because: 1. The shimmer is not very long-lasting. When I apply it before bed, most of the shimmer effect is completely gone and absorbed by my sheets by the morning. I assume pants and leggings would absorb it in the same way, but Iā€™ve only ever worn shorts after applications during the day, and even then, the shimmer seems to fade after 4ā€“6 hours. 2. I have to apply a lot of oil to achieve the amount of shimmer I desire. It averages about 20ā€“25 pumps per use. 3. The 4-ounce bottle size, combined with needing a lot of product for each application, means Iā€™m going to run out of it pretty quickly. Hereā€™s why I like this product: 1. The glow: If youā€™re looking for a subtle glow and a light shimmer effect, this oil is perfect for you; apply it before a night out, while wearing a swimsuit, or when going to the gym in your favorite workout set for a beautiful gleam. 2. The scent: Itā€™s a divine, warm mix of sweet and spicy notes. It smells like vanilla, amber, and toasted marshmallow. It pairs really nicely with tropical, woodsy, sweet, or spicy perfumesā€”itā€™s very versatile. 3. Consistency and absorption: The oil absorbs nicely and has a light, runny consistency. Because itā€™s a dry oil, it isnā€™t too thick, nor does it leave a sticky feeling on the skin. 4. How my skin feels: Iā€™ve used this oil 4 nights in a row, and every single morning I wake up, my skin feels so soft and smooth, with no residual stickiness or residue left behind.
