Though generally the Jazzette outfits traditionally with an 12x18 bass drum, Ludwig did offer custom sizes and the 14x18 bass drum was one of those offerings at the time. The lugs and other hardware are in great shape showing very little signs of wear. This kit sings, and sounds wonderful at higher "bop" tunings. It took a few tries to get it positioned exactly as i wanted it but once that was done it hasn't moved. I have a Samsung s25fe phone with a case and it fits just fine. Seems secure. It does shake slightly while driving on bumpy roads but it doesn't move positions and I don't feel like my phone is going to fall. So far it's been great.
