I'm not sure of the age but it is definitely an older piece. Nice clean condition. The pin doesn't have a tight fit into the sheath and therefore wouldn't hold its own weight up vertically. If you are looking for comparison with Nivea Soft, then Nivea Soft is actually a little thicker and slower to absorb than this one. Just slightly but it seems so to me. It's still a great cream, just nowhere near the original thick kind.
