Meg Eden Kuyatt guides us through a beautifully lyrical journey into the life of V, an autistic girl forced to spend the summer with her overbearing grandmother. The story is often more metaphorical than literal, which works well thematically since it revolves around emotionally messy relationships with unreliable narrators, making the details of both the past and present difficult to pin down. Fun educational book

This book is a big hit! My 5 year old son and I read it so many times since we ordered this in April. It has cute illustration and 60 flaps and pop-ups which make the book even more exciting. And because of this, I don’t recommend this book to young kids under 3 though. Some flaps might be tricky for younger kids. Even I as a parent learned so much about construction.
